Don’t miss the re-run of the “Rachel” episode of A&E’s Emmy-winning TV series Intervention on October 20, 2011.
Rachel |
In May 2010, Interventionist Candy Finnigan brought Rachel to Malibu Beach Recovery Center. When Candy intervened on her she was homeless, sleeping on the steps of a Fifth Avenue Manhattan church. Rachel’s story is reality TV at its best, filled with fireworks and drama. Rachel has had the most to overcome of the three “Intervention Girls” who have gone through treatment at Malibu Beach Recovery Center and now, more than a year after beginning treatment, she is finally ready to enter the .workforce. |

On August 22, 2011 you are invited to watch the premiere of the "Michelle” episode of A&E’s Emmy-winning TV series Intervention. Michelle of Williamstown, NJ is a 30-year-old mother of two. Interventionist Candy Finnigan brought her to Malibu Beach Recovery Center on May 26, 2011. Michelle’s story is that of four generations of an American family living under the same roof. Her elderly grandparents are still raising her daughters, and caring for her 53-year-old uncle who has cerebral palsy. After years of hearing Michelle’s excuses and witnessing the domino effects of her addiction on her increasingly-defiant daughters and her ailing, overburdened grandparents, Michelle’s sister wrote to Intervention for help. |

The previous May Candy Finnigan brought us Rachel. She was homeless, sleeping on the steps of a Fifth Avenue Manhattan church, panhandling to earn a living. Rachel’s story is reality TV at its best, filled with fireworks and drama. She has had the most to overcome of the three “Intervention Girls” who have gone through treatment at Malibu Beach Recovery Center and now, more than a year after beginning treatment, she is finally ready to enter the workforce. |
Angelina |
Angelina, our first ever client from Intervention arrived in September 2008. Hard to believe but Angelina, whose episode followers of “Intervention”’s Facebook page voted one of their three favorite shows of all time, is about to get married to another Malibu Beach Recovery Center alumni. She has made a remarkable transformation from a down-and-out New Jersey heroin addict to a vibrant young woman who now lives in West Los Angeles and holds down a steady job. She has reconnected with her family and become an active member of the West Los Angeles 12 step community. |
